31.12. – New Year’s Eve
Snowmobile safari for ice fishing. During this first full day in Lapland you may experience snowmobile driving across snowy wilderness forests. All adults may drive and children and those who want may sit as passengers. After a while we reach a lake where we experience ice fishing. Lunch in a teepee.
1.1. – New Year Day
Today we get up a little later and head us to an authentic reindeer farm that is located in a little village outside of the town. We meet the reindeer herders wearing traditional clothes and admire their skills in handling reindeer. After the short briefing we go for a long reindeer safari. We sit on a reindeer sleigh and enjoy this peaceful ride across the snowy Lapland landscape.
Afterwards we listen to the stories about reindeer herding in the wilderness. You may ask whatever you like to know about the wild animals and wilderness life. Light lunch by open fire during the day. After this memorable trip we return to the hotels in the city.
2.1. – Husky safari
Today we visit a husky farm and enjoy their one hour husky safari. All adults may drive exchanging the drivers on the half way. Husky safari is everyone’s favourite and one of the highlights on our New Year package.
In the afternoon we go for a short snowshoe hike in the snowy wilds. This is an opportunity to admire the beauty of Lapland in the middle of the snowy forest. Light lunch is offered during the trip.
Instead of snowshoe trip you can choose alternative Trip to Arctic Circle and Santa Claus Village and enjoy lunch in the biggest tourist attraction in Lapland. Choose the one you feel better 🙂
